Product Details
Barbed Nipple is designed for secure and leak proof connection between irrigation hoses and polyethylene pe pipes. Featuring a multi barbed structure, this fitting provides a strong mechanical grip, preventing hose slippage under pressure and ensuring long-term reliability in irrigation systems.
Barbed nipple for irrigation project is manufactured from high quality UV stabilized PE or PP and the barbed nipple offers excellent resistance to environmental conditions, chemicals, and mechanical stress. Its tapered barbed design allows easy installation while maintaining tight sealing without the need for additional clamps in most low-pressure applications.
Widely used in drip irrigation, garden watering systems, and agricultural applications, this connector ensures efficient water flow continuity and system integrity.

Application Areas
Barbed Nipple is used in drip irrigation systems, garden hoses, agricultural irrigation lines, greenhouse systems, and water transfer applications. It is ideal for connecting PE pipes, flexible hoses, and irrigation lines securely.
How to Use Barbed Nipple (Hose Connector)
1. Prepare the Pipe / Hose
Cut the irrigation pipe or hose end clean and straight. Remove any dirt or debris to ensure proper sealing.
2. Soften the Hose
For easier installation, slightly soften the hose end using warm water or by leaving it under the sun for a few minutes. This helps the hose expand slightly.
3. Insert the Barbed Nipple
Push the barbed nipple firmly into the hose or pipe. The multi-barbed design will grip the inner surface tightly. Apply steady pressure until it is fully seated.
4. Secure the Connection
For higher pressure applications or larger diameters, use a clamp to reinforce the connection and prevent leakage.
5. Connect the Other Side
Insert the other end of the barbed nipple into the second hose or pipe using the same method.
6. Test the System
Run water through the system and check for leaks. Ensure all connections are tight and properly seated.
Usage Tips
- Avoid excessive force that may damage the pipe
- Use clamps for pressures above 4–6 bar
- Ensure correct size matching
- Do not reuse damaged connectors
