Compliance and Manufacturing Standards

Safety and compliance are critical for municipal and industrial approvals. These manholes are designed and manufactured taking into account the most rigorous global standards:

  • ASTM F1759: Standard practice for the design of HDPE manholes for subsurface applications.
  • EN 13598-1/2: European standards for plastics piping systems for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage.
  • EN 124 / AASHTO H-20: Integrated manhole covers available as manhole cover load classifications for pedestrian to heavy highway traffic load.
  • ISO 9001: Manufactured under strict quality management systems.

Load Class

Available cover load classes can be selected according to installation location and traffic conditions:

A15: Pedestrian and landscaped areas
B125: Parking areas and light vehicle traffic
C250: Road edges and service areas
D400: Roads, industrial areas and heavy vehicle traffic
H-20: Heavy vehicle loading and high load applications

Whether you are battling I&I (Infiltration and Inflow) in the USA, meeting strict environmental EN regulations in Europe, or solving heavy transport and corrosion challenges in Africa, DraivexInfra provides the reliability your project demands.

Engineered for Global Infrastructure Challenges

Eliminates I&I (Infiltration and Inflow)

Traditional concrete cracks over time, allowing groundwater to overwhelm treatment plants. Our fully welded and sealed HDPE structure guarantees zero exfiltration and zero infiltration, making it the top choice for modern sanitary sewer systems.

Ultimate Corrosion and Chemical Resistance

Unlike concrete that degrades from Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas or acidic soils, these HDPE manholes are chemically inert. They offer superior resistance to aggressive chemicals, making them perfect for industrial wastewater, coastal areas, and highly acidic soil conditions commonly found in African and coastal US projects.

Lightweight Design for Fast, Low Cost Installation

Weighing a fraction of concrete, our plastic inspection chambers eliminate the need for heavy lifting equipment such as cranes. This allows for rapid, manual installation even in remote or hard to access construction sites, drastically reducing labor and logistical costs.

Complete Your Infrastructure System

To ensure a fully integrated, long lasting drainage or sewer network, pair your manhole with these essential construction materials. Adding these to your order guarantees a seamless, professional grade installation for any residential or infrastructure project:

Double Wall Corrugated Pipes (SN4 / SN8): Perfect for connecting directly to your new inspection chamber. Our HDPE corrugated pipes offer high ring stiffness, excellent flow capacity, and seamless compatibility for stormwater and sewer lines.

Geotextile Fabrics: Prevent soil erosion and keep your underground drainage systems clean and block free. Wrapping your pipe trenches with high quality non-woven geotextile ensures maximum longevity and filtration.

Elastomeric Pipe Seals and Gaskets: Maintain our 100% leak-proof guarantee by using standardized rubber seals at every pipe to manhole connection point.

Engineer's Corner: Calculating Traffic Load & Deflection

Unlike rigid concrete that takes traffic weight directly, HDPE manholes and corrugated pipes act as flexible conduits. They safely transfer heavy live loads into the surrounding compacted soil. This principle is known as Soil Structure Interaction.

To calculate the structural integrity and expected deflection of our HDPE pipes under combined earth and traffic loads, civil engineers utilize the industry standard Modified Iowa Formula:

Δx = [ Dl × K × (Wc + WL) × r³ ] / [ (E × I) + (0.061 × E' × r³) ]

Variables Explained:

  • Δx (Delta x): Predicted horizontal deflection (must not exceed 5% for long term structural health).
  • Dl: Deflection lag factor (accounts for long term soil settlement).
  • K: Bedding constant (depends on the installation angle).
  • Wc: Dead load (the weight of the soil prism above the pipe).
  • WL: Live load (vehicular traffic load, typically calculated using Boussinesq load distribution for AASHTO H-20 trucks).
  • r³: Mean pipe radius cubed.
  • (E × I): Pipe stiffness (rigidity of the manhole and pipe, directly related to SN4/SN8 ratings).
  • E': Modulus of soil reaction (the resistance of the backfill soil, which is why proper gravel compaction is critical).

What Does This Mean for Your Project?

Looking at the second half of the formula (0.061 × E' × r³), the stiffness of the compacted soil (E') provides the vast majority of the support, not just the pipe itself. By using SN8 corrugated pipes and high quality granular backfill wrapped in geotextile, the live traffic load (WL) is safely dispersed, ensuring the deflection remains negligible for over 50 years.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is it?

HDPE manhole is an inspection chamber and designed for drainage, sewer, stormwater and underground infrastructure systems.
An inspection chamber provides direct access to underground pipelines for monitoring, cleaning, and repairing blockages. It acts as a junction to connect multiple pipes, allows adjustments to flow direction and elevation, and ensures proper gas ventilation within the sewage system

Where is it used?

HDPE Manhole, inspection chambers are used for drainage, sewer, stormwater, wastewater and industrial infrastructure applications.

What sizes are available?

From DN500, DN600, DN800, DN1000, DN1200, DN1500, DN1600, DN1800 and DN2000mm main dia and smaller input and double, triple of four way outlet alternatives.

What load can it handle?

Available with different cover load classes, including A15, B125, C250, D400 and H-20, depending on the installation requirements.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on diameter, load class, quantity and delivery destination as stated each are differents cost on product variation and price section of the page. You can simply add into your shopping chart or Request a project quotation for pricing from the RFQ button.

Why choose HDPE manholes over concrete manholes?

HDPE manholes designed for long service life with high resistance to corrosion, chemicals and environmental conditions. They are significantly lighter, meaning they can be installed much faster without heavy cranes, saving thousands of dollars in labor, machinery, and long term maintenance costs.

Are plastic inspection chambers suitable for heavy traffic areas?

Yes. Heytigo DraivexInfra HDPE manholes come with integrated covers engineered to meet heavy duty traffic load ratings, including European EN 124 (up to D400) and US AASHTO H-20 standards, making them safe for roadways.

How do HDPE manholes perform in extreme climates?

HDPE is highly resilient. It flexes without breaking during ground movement such as seismic activity or freeze thaw cycles, and is UV stabilized, making it highly durable under extreme direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Do Heytigo DraivexInfra manholes require specialized equipment to install?

No. Because of their lightweight profile, they can easily be maneuvered into trenches by small machinery or even manual labor in remote locations, making them ideal for rapid deployment infrastructure projects globally.
