Product Details

PAV 800 wafer type pneumatic actuated butterfly valve is designed to provide reliable automated flow control in industrial pipeline systems. The valve combines a compact wafer-type butterfly valve body with a pneumatic rack-and-pinion actuator, enabling fast and efficient on/off flow control in automated process environments.

The wafer body design allows the valve to be installed directly between two pipeline flanges, providing a lightweight and compact installation solution. This configuration simplifies installation and reduces overall piping system weight while maintaining reliable sealing and performance.

The valve body is typically manufactured from epoxy coated cast iron (GG25), offering strong mechanical durability and corrosion protection. The valve disc is made from stainless steel, providing improved resistance to corrosion and wear during continuous industrial operation. The standard sealing material is EPDM, which is widely compatible with water, air and general industrial fluids. Depending on the application, optional sealing materials such as NBR, Viton or PTFE may also be available.

The pneumatic actuator uses a rack & pinion mechanism that converts compressed air into rotary motion. Operating with a recommended air supply pressure of 4 – 6 bar, the actuator rotates the valve disc 90° to open or close the flow.

Two actuator configurations are available as defined in the product variants: Double Acting (DA) and Spring Return (SR). In Double Acting configuration, compressed air is used for both opening and closing operations, ensuring fast and consistent performance. In Spring Return configuration, the valve uses air to open and automatically returns to a predefined fail-safe position via spring force in case of air supply failure.

The actuator mounting follows the ISO 5211 standard, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of actuators and easy actuator replacement. The NAMUR interface allows integration with automation accessories such as solenoid valves, limit switch boxes, valve position indicators and positioners. This makes the PAV 800 valve suitable for modern industrial automation systems including PLC and SCADA controlled processes.

PAV 800 pneumatic actuated butterfly valves are widely used in HVAC systems, water treatment plants, industrial water pipelines, cooling systems, chemical processing lines and general industrial fluid control applications where reliable automated shut-off and flow regulation are required.
