Full lift spring safety valves are designed to rapidly release excess pressure in pressurized systems. When the system pressure reaches the preset set pressure, the valve opens fully in a pop-action movement, providing high discharge capacity for fast pressure relief.

These valves are commonly used in steam systems, gas pipelines and high-capacity pressure vessels where rapid pressure release is required to protect the system from overpressure conditions.

The valve body is typically manufactured from ductile iron (GGG40) while internal components such as the spring and moving elements are made from stainless steel (AISI 302 / 304). Depending on the design, sealing surfaces may be metal seat or PTFE seat.

Full lift safety valves are designed according to ISO 4126 safety valve design standard and tested according to EN 12266-1 pressure testing standard. Most industrial models are manufactured in PN16 pressure class with flanged connections according to EN 1092-2.

In many designs, the outlet size is larger than the inlet size to increase discharge capacity. For example:

DN25 inlet → DN40 outlet
DN32 inlet → DN50 outlet

This design ensures higher flow capacity and improved safety performance in pressure relief applications.
